This round bilge vlet 1000, built in 1970 by the Visscher shipyard in Zwartsluis, is a steel motor vlet with a length of 10 meters and a width of 4 meters. The boat features a round bilge hull, which contributes to its stability and sailing characteristics. With a draft of 1 meter and a weight of approximately 10,000 kg, this vlet is suitable for various inland waters, lakes, ponds, and rivers.

Construction and Design

The hull is made of 6 mm thick steel, ensuring a robust construction. The round bilge shape contributes to a stable position in the water. The boat was designed by Visscher and built at the same shipyard, ensuring a cohesive design and finish. The steering position is located inside the spacious wheelhouse and is operated via a steering wheel. The rudder is single.

Motorization and Technology

The boat is equipped with a Volvo Penta inboard diesel engine of 100 hp, also from 1970. The engine is electrically started and is equipped with various instruments, including a fuel tank gauge, oil pressure gauge, temperature gauge, and tachometer. The drive is supported by an alternator, and there are two batteries on board. According to the owner, the engine is functional and is regularly checked by a regular mechanic.

Interior and Accommodation

Inside, the round bilge vlet offers sleeping space for four people in fixed beds, with the possibility of two additional sleeping places. The layout includes a dining area, a stove, refrigerator, and mattresses. The toilet is manual and discharges directly into open water. Heating is not present. The wooden finish in the interior, including inlaid floors, contributes to the classic appearance of the ship.

Equipment and Extras

On deck, the boat is equipped with various equipment elements such as a manual anchor winch, anchor with chain, fenders, lines, a guardrail, davits, and a tarpaulin. Outdoor cushions are also present. The boat comes with a polyester dinghy of the brand Sporttak. There is a lifebuoy on board.

Maintenance and Use

The boat was out of the water for maintenance in 2024 and was also provided with a new antifouling layer at that time. The owner states that the ship has always been kept in a covered shed in the water, protected with a dust cover. According to the owner, the underwater hull is checked every two years. The boat has remained in family ownership since its construction and has been used for pleasure cruising on inland waters.

Points of Attention

There is currently a point of attention regarding the water pump, which needs to be replaced. No other known defects have been reported by the owner.
