The Contessa 42 is a steel motor yacht built in 1992 by the Dutch shipyard Vri-Jon, designed by Yachts Ossenzijl. This six-cylinder engine, also from 1992, has a reported number of operating hours of 4538. The engine is electrically started and has an average fuel consumption of approximately 8 liters per hour. Steering and Sailing Characteristics

The electrical installation consists of a 12V and 220V system, powered by two batteries with a total capacity of 180 Ah. The power supply is further supported by a battery charger, inverter, shore power connection, and a solar panel. Additionally, there is a Bosch generator with a capacity of 3000 watts, providing extra independence while sailing or anchoring.

Navigation and Safety

In terms of navigation, the Contessa 42 is equipped with a wide range of equipment, including AIS, GPS, radar, depth meter, log/speedometer, compass, wind meter, and VHF radio. For safety, there are life jackets on board and an electric bilge pump.

Exterior Equipment and Extras

The ship features a teak deck, a cockpit tent, tarpaulins, outdoor deck cushions, and a swim ladder. For anchoring, there is a manually operated anchor winch with a chain. A Zodiac dinghy with an outboard motor is included, as well as a trailer. The trailer is included in the sale and is in functional condition.

Documentation and Registration

The boat is registered under a Belgian flag certificate. Documentation is available, including the engine logbook and route documentation. The last time the ship was taken out of the water for maintenance and antifouling was in 2021.
